MYJYN // Jack's Kettle
MYJYN // Jack's Kettle
Jack's Kettle
Jack's Kettle is humming, waters whirling to the rhythm of reels. Latent heat, potential energy...it's boiling. Conor Buckley (Guitar), Lennart Schandl (Bass) Robin Rindlisbacher (Keys) and Joshua Leblanc-Demers (Drums) are Jack's Kettle, a fusion band taking influence from Trad music.
“Jack's Kettle are a rousing Irish fusion band. Traditional Irish melodies are moulded with rock and a touch of jazz into new arrangements and compositions. Whether soft and poetic or rocking and wild, the band casts a spell over the audience by evoking a world of sound that is both familiar and surprising. Thank you so much for this beautiful concert."
- Lucerne Guitar Concerts
Myjyn
Myjyn, is a modernised version of the Irish word 'Maighdean' for mermaid- since exploring her sonic depths is like swimming in the ocean- at once natural and mysterious. Classically trained, she flows with a poise which is rare to witness. This does not make the sound predictable, on the contrary: it allows the listener to feel safe while she transports us across her unique watery realms: looping, stretching and keening. Inspired by such diverse singers as Moya Brennan, Ella Fitzgerald and Joni Mitchell, her sound is at once traditional and contemporary. She released her debut singles Dark Is The Colour and Communion in 2024, and her latest single Amhrán na Leabhar has received much praise and has been played on Irish Radio.
"Myjyn's sound is like the glint off a fish's back at night, the tickle of sea-spray on your cheeks, the call of a wave which transports you to the Otherworld."
-Molly May O'Leary, writer and artist

Curran’s performance transports listeners back and forth over centuries of musical history and landscape, all while “shifting narratives around the Irish-American experience through music” -Hannah Mayree, Black Banjo Reclamation Project. The Dublin Jazz Co-op: Seamus Gibson, So-Young Yoon and Yseult Stockdale
Seamus Gibson/So-Young Yoon/Yseult Stockdale
Traditional fiddle player/composer Seamus Gibson and jazz pianist So-Young Yoon first met during her artist residency at An Grianán Theatre in Letterkenny. They sat down at the piano and began playing Seamus’s compositions—he played the melodies while So-Young improvised harmonies around them. It was great fun and the beautiful collaboration lead them into their first gig together at Trad Week in Letterkenny.
This is their Dublin debut concert and they will be joined by Yseult Stockdale, one of the leading classical cellists in Ireland. Together they will explore the music of Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, Seamus Gibson and very old Irish and Korean traditional songs.

Outside the Meadows - Madra Salach
Outside the Meadows is an extension of the spirit and sound of In the Meadows—a curated series of standalone shows spotlighting the next wave of voices in Irish music. While In the Meadows brings together iconic and boundary-pushing acts in the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Outside the Meadows takes that same curatorial ethos beyond the festival walls.
This year, we're proud to present three unique act across two nights featuring Madra Salach, Skinner, and Shark School. Three rising new bands performing in some of Dublin’s most iconic intimate venues. From Madra Salach, one of the most exciting new trad bands performing in the iconic Cobblestone to Skinner and Shark School who are proving to be the future of Irish alternative music performing in The Thomas House, this showcase is the best place to catch a glimpse of the next Irish sensations. Each show captures the raw energy, DIY roots, and community-driven vibe that define our festival, offering fans a more intimate but no less electrifying experience.

KhakiKid
KhakiKid
KhakiKid has certainly lived an interesting and unique life, yet it was only recently that the first generation Irish alt-rapper realised his story was worth talking about. Growing up on Crumlin council estate, Dublin-born Abdu Huss shared a bedroom with three brothers while his two sisters and single-parent mum were in their own room together.
Aged 12, Abdu started writing his own raps “as if I was Chief Keef”, however many years later his 2020 debut single ‘Late’ introduced an artist with a penchant for jazz-infused hip-hop. By 2021, a cult following was building at home in Ireland and his music began finding fans internationally. His debut EP, ‘Elevator Music’, arrived in September 2022 to critical acclaim: influenced by early Eric B. & Rakim, the short but sweet six-tracker effortlessly mixed tongue-in-cheek, often self-deprecating lyrics with boisterous rapping.
His upcoming music however trades some of that playful nature for a more honest, emotional and personal approach. While Abdu previously felt things that happened in his life weren’t worth sharing with the world, now when writing songs he’ll reflect on his own life, picking out significant moments he believes other people would find interesting.
Beyond music, Abdu wants to represent people who feel as though they don’t have a set community – especially having not been aware of his Arab-Irish heritage or refugee dad’s story until his adult years. “I feel like there are a lot of minority groups in Ireland that aren’t spoken about, so I want to show there are places for us to exist.”

Kevin Hill
Kevin Hill Live at the Cobblestone
From Asbury Park in the US, the land of Bruce Springsteen comes Kevin Hill. An Irish-American musician, he is fulfilling his lifelong dream of performing in Ireland! Anything can happen at a Kevin Hill show .....and it usually does.
Kevin Hill is a rare talent... a soulful vocalist, a world class jazz/rock guitarist and a witty, meaningful, and deeply introspective lyricist. A Wiser Time Records artist, his music has been enjoyed worldwide through digital and physical media.
Hill and his musical family have shared billings and stages with legends like Sting, Levon Helm, Gov't Mule, Ziggy Marley, Dickey Betts, Johnny Winter. Hill's guitar mentor Ted Dunbar was a legendary jazz educator who also instructed Trey Anastasio and Vernon Reid.
Forged by the jazz organ groups of the Newark, NJ school of musical hard knocks and given rainbow luminescence by the spiritual awakening of the Grateful Dead, Santana and Phish, Hill brings the best of the improvised music tradition to every performance.
A devoted father and an advocate for mental health and substance abuse awareness, the intention behind Hill's music is to help and to heal.
